Paper Architecture
Paper Architecture uses the offcuts from a previous body of work— foam core, matte board, cardboard, and balsa wood — as printmaking material to create monotypes and low relief sculptures of imagined urban constructions. Repurposing what would otherwise be discarded as source material is central to the project. The title references a movement of Soviet architects who designed buildings that exist only on paper, never built.
